Designed - Preteen Physical Development and an Introduction to God's Design for Sexuality

For Current 5th and 6th Graders and Mom/Dad/Guardian
 

The objective of the seminars is to help parents of pre-teens prepare their child for the physical changes in adolescence and to introduce age-appropriate topics of human sexuality and related Catholic teaching. 

Mother & Daughter Program  
Epiphany Parish Hall 12:00-3:00 p.m. 

  • “Physical Development in Adolescence” presented by Kimberly Marshall Harmon, M.D., pediatrician and mother of three children.
  • “The Gift of Sexuality” Presented by Ms. Karen Kenney, teacher at Central Catholic High School and assistant youth minister at St. Patrick Church of Merna

Father & Son Program
Epiphany Parish Hall 4:00-6:00 p.m.

  • “Physical development in Adolescence” presented by Wayne Manness, M.D., radiologist and father of three sons, and coach.
  • “The Gift of Sexuality” presented by Mr. Paul Rayburn, teacher at Central Catholic High School.

Print resources will be provided to parents, and a $5 suggested donation per parent/child is greatly appreciated.  Registration requested by Monday March 6th.

Informational Parent Meeting Sunday, March 12th
7:00-8:00 p.m. in Epiphany Parish Hall

The meeting will include a presentation of the content of the seminars and ample time for parents’ questions to be answered.  For general or registration questions before the parent meeting call Rich Sealy at 452-2585, extension 203.
