If you will be utilizing the free childcare option, please indicate that information in your RSVP as well. This event is open to all Epiphany Parish families.
Epiphany Catholic School will be hosting a Parent University Lecture on Saturday, April 6, 2019. The topic will be "Cultivating the Catholic Faith in the Family". The purpose of this event is to assist parents in their vocation of raising young people who will live a meaningful life in relation with God into adulthood.
Our guest speakers will be Doug and Shirley Hinderer. They have been married for 38 years and have nine children. Shirley teaches Middle School Theology and Art at the Willows Academy in Des Plaines Illinois, her passion is everything fiber art related. Doug spent 37 years in Human Resources before leaving his Senior Executive position 3 years ago to become a Marriage and Family Therapist. He currently works as a staff therapist for the Chicago Christian Counseling Center, where he sees individuals and couples, gives marriage and pre-marriage seminars and once a month is a guest on Relevant Radio's show 'On the Front Porch' hosted by Patrick McCormick. In addition, they are both graduates of ISU and were parishioners of Epiphany from 1980 - 82.
